SESLOC President & CEO Announces Retirement

From Your CEO — Winter 2019

This past December marked my seventh year as CEO with SESLOC, and I’m probably still seen as the “new CEO” in the eyes of some! When I arrived in late 2011, all banks and credit unions were recovering from the damage of the great recession.

We were also responding to regulators , who reacted by imposing over 1,100 new regulations. My first few years were filled with implementing a number of changes that negatively impacted the ease and simplicity of transacting business, to which you had all become accustomed. During this time, we built the new headquarters, converted the core computer system and updated Online Banking. In short, you experienced a lot of chance.

What hasn’t changed is SESLOC’s commitment to provide quality, affordable financial services. Recently, SESLOC was recognized nationally for providing the highest annual Member Benefit Return ($397 average per household) over the bank average in our asset class.

In the last few months we also introduced HomeFREE Checking™. While the name is new, the account is the SESLOC checking account you’ve had along. It’s free: no minimum balances, no fine print, no strings attached. We just made it better by adding two new features. And they’re being added at no cost to you!

  1. Identity Theft Services — including detection and resolution coverage for you, your spouse/partner, children up to 25 years of age and parents living at home.
  2. SESLOC Rewards — you’ll earn points for every purchase made with your SESLOC Visa® debit card, redeemable for travel, merchandise, gift cards and more.

Please call or stop by a branch if you have questions on how to take advantage of Identity Theft Services or how to redeem points earned on your SESLOC debit card.

In closing, the Board of Directors approved an increase in the regular share dividend for January 1, 2019. Our core commitment to member value is unwavering. Thanks for your loyalty!
