SESLOC Spotlight highlights local organizations that make the Central Coast the best place to live.
Today we’re shining the spotlight on the Family Care Network. FCNI supports local families and children with programs and resources dedicated to behavioral health, community, education, and housing. Eryka Santoyo, Community Resource Development Manager, shares:
Family Care Network
Serving the Central Coast since: 1987
How many employees? Just under 200.
How many volunteers? Annually, we have over 300 volunteers.
What’s your mission? To enhance the wellbeing of children and families in partnership with our community.
What’s unique about FCNI? Family Care Network is a community based organization that offers family-based treatment programs as an alternative to group home or institutional care of children and youth. Our programs are not only designed to help enhance the lives of children, but strengthen and preserve their families as well.
What do you attribute to your success? FCNI attributes its success to our community. Our community partners, including numerous volunteers, families, local businesses, and organizations, are dedicated to a sole purpose: improving the quality of life of others by surrounding them with compassionate care, support, and guidance. Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
What advice would you give someone interested in giving back to the community? Go for it! Giving back will not only benefit those on the receiving end of your good deeds, but you’ll find a personal sense of joy and fulfillment through your contributions. Visit Family Care Network’s website to learn more about their programs and volunteer opportunities, or to support with a donation.
