Make the Switch

Make the Switch to HomeFREE Checking in 4 Easy Steps

With our new Online Account Opening service, moving to SESLOC Federal Credit Union has never been easier — bring it home in just 4 easy steps:

1.  Register for Online Banking

Enroll in Online Banking or download the Mobile App to access your account at home or on-the-go. It’s also your portal to convenient tools like Bill Pay and mobile deposit.

2. Switch Over Your Automatic Transactions

Next you’ll need to update companies and financial institutions that handle your automatic deposits and withdrawals. Use the handy checklist below to keep track of everyone you need to contact, like your employer’s payroll person or your gym membership.

You’ll need to provide them with your new routing and account numbers. Here’s how to locate that information:

Routing Number: 322282713

Account Number: Your checking account’s MICR number is basically a numerical address for electronic transfers to ensure they go to the right place. This is different from your 6 digit account number, also known as your member number. Your MICR number can be accessed at any time in Online Banking by clicking on the checking account tile in the main accounts portal. Click on details to the right of the search bar to display additional account information, including your MICR number.

3. Confirm Changes

It may take several weeks for these changes to take effect as your service providers process your request. Direct deposit, for example, may take up to two pay cycles.

During this time, monitor Online Banking to confirm that each transaction has been redirected. You’ll also want to make sure that any outstanding checks from your previous financial institution have cleared.

4. Close Down Your Old Accounts

Once you verify that outstanding checks have cleared and automatic withdrawals and direct deposits are redirected, you’re ready to close your old account.

After closing the account, destroy any old checks, ATM/debit cards, and deposit slips.
